ARCOSYSTEM®

ARCOSYSTEM® is a high-performance elevated cable trough system developed for rail routes where ground‑level installation isn’t always practical.

Overview

ARCOSYSTEM® is an elevated GRP cable trough system designed for rail routes where ground-level installation isn’t always practical. Its pultruded GRP troughs and lids are strong, lightweight and easy to handle, helping teams install long runs quickly without heavy kit or major groundworks. With spans of up to six metres between supports, the system reduces the number of posts needed and helps keep construction activity to a minimum.

It’s widely used on routes carrying power, signalling and fibre-optic cables, especially in locations exposed to demanding weather or terrain. The twin-walled GRP construction performs reliably in high winds, snow loading, temperature swings and areas where minor ground movement is expected. The material also resists corrosion, water and chemical exposure, supporting long-term service life with minimal maintenance.

ARCOSYSTEM® can be mounted on sigma posts, bridge parapets, tunnel walls, retaining boards or rock faces using bespoke brackets and fixings. Several trough sizes are available so engineers can match capacity to the cable route and keep installations tidy and accessible. For many rail teams, it offers a dependable way to lift cables clear of the ground in areas where space or conditions make traditional troughing difficult.
