Scott Parnell employee to take on Yorkshire Three Peaks for charity

An employee from Scott Parnell in Leeds will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge to raise funds for children's charity, Railway Children.

Sharon Rice, who is National Rail Manager at the company, will be taking on the 25-mile trek, which will start at Horton in Ribblesdale and take in the hills of the Yorkshire Dales.

Railway Children is an international charity working with street children in India, East Africa and the UK. Through a network of outreach workers, it provides vulnerable children living on the streets with support and a safe place to stay while working out the best long-term solution for their individual circumstances.

Commenting on the challenge, Sharon said:

“Railway Children is an amazing charity and I am keen to do whatever I can to help make a difference. The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge seemed like the perfect opportunity to do something challenging while raising funds for a very worthy cause. I’m looking forward to taking part and hope as many people as possible are able to sponsor me.”
