Rapid Route

An elevated cable route system developed in collaboration with Anchor Systems for rail and infrastructure projects.

Overview

Rapid Route is an elevated GRP cable route solution developed in collaboration between Scott Parnell and Anchor Systems International. It brings together two proven technologies, the ARCOSYSTEM® cable trough and the Anchor Screw® foundation. The result is a fast, low-impact installation approach that reduces ground intervention and helps address the challenges of running cables through constrained or sensitive locations.

The ARCOSYSTEM® trough provides strength, durability and long spans between posts, while its lightweight GRP construction makes it easier to handle in tight or uneven work areas. Paired with the Anchor Screw®, a reusable steel foundation installed with handheld or machine-mounted equipment, Rapid Route eliminates the need for concrete and keeps ground disturbance to a minimum. This approach supports quicker possession works, reduces spoil, and allows teams to progress cable routes with fewer vehicle movements.

Rapid Route’s elevated design helps maintain cable capacity in areas where access is difficult or restricted. Its modular components make it suitable for a wide range of environments, including linesides, bridges, structures and locations where traditional buried routes are impractical. Together, these benefits provide a reliable, low-impact cable management option for both new works and asset renewal programmes.
