Overview
TouchSAFE® composite palisade fencing provides a strong, non-conductive barrier for protecting electrical assets and sensitive equipment. The system is built from pultruded GRP pales and cross-rails that interlock securely, with all fixings made from engineered plastics. With no metallic fixings, the panels are resistant to corrosion and suited to environments where electrical safety is essential.
Panels are significantly lighter than steel, around 75% lighter, making them easier to handle and helping reduce installation time and manual-handling risk. They are supplied as assembled panels, enabling straightforward installation onto either embedded posts or surface-mounted posts using purpose-designed base shoes. The GRP profiles use fire-retardant resins with UV protection, while the surface veil helps them withstand long-term weather exposure.
TouchSAFE® complies with the dimensional requirements of BS 1722-12 and is used around substations, LOC suites and other locations where a non-conductive barrier is required. Panels and matching gates are available in standard heights, with bespoke sizes available on request.
