On March 30th, 2024, Sales Negotiator Louise Chamberlain participated in a charity hair chop event in support of The Little Princess Trust.
The aim was to raise funds for the Trust’s noble cause, Lou set a modest target of £700, as it costs £700 on average to provide one wig to a child or young person. This cost covers the making, fitting, and styling of the wig. The response exceeded all expectations as Lou managed to raise an impressive £1,587 which Scott Parnell matched to take the grand total to £3,174!
Lou donated a significant 14 inches of her hair. The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people grappling with the heart‑breaking loss of their own hair due to cancer treatments or conditions like Alopecia. Imagine the comfort and confidence a wig can offer during such challenging times – a chance for these brave young people to feel ‘normal’ and beautiful again.
But the Trust’s impact doesn’t stop there. They are one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK. Every wig, every research initiative, every moment of hope they provide is made possible by the generosity of people like you and me.
“By donating, I’ve not just contributed to a wig; I’m gifting a child a piece of their childhood back. I’m proud to have been a part of this event and grateful for the generosity of everyone who supported the cause!”
